2: When you press NAV button without any card inserted: 

RNS310 - will ask navigation data source

RNS315 - has pre-installed map in internal memory and will show map without navigation card.

Please note: the SD-card can be used only in one car - once it is installed to the navigation system for the first time, it gets locked to it.

Great saving over the price quoted by local Skoda dealer. Install time on my 12 plate Yeti just over 2 hours but you can stop and restart the install numerous times while using the car as normal, it just automatically resumes the install where it left off.
